Pure Organic Rose hip oil is naturally high in Vitamin A, Omega 6 and 9 and the antioxidants Lycopene and Beta-Carotene. It is also one of the few naturally stable forms of Vitamin C. It fights free radical damage, helps with the skins regeneration process and premature aging and uneven skin tone. Rose hip oil has also benefited people with scarring and sun damage. Rose hip oil has a short shelf life compared to many other oils, about six to eight months. To balance this out the Damadi Organic Rose hip oil has a small amount of natural Vitamin E (we do not use the synthetic Vitamin E which is 60% less effective than the natural one) added to it. This combination will give you the best results for your skin and the Damadi Rosehip oil has a shelf life of over a year.
Application– When applying any oil to your skin, always start with damp clean skin. You can use a light mist of Rose Water, Lavender Water or Aloe Vera spray to do this or the water from rinsing your face after washing is fine. The floral water or plain water will provide the slip for the oil to glide on. Place between 4-8 drops on the palm of your hands and gently press them together so there is fine sheen on both palms and then press them gently onto your face. By using this method your skin will not feel heavy or oily. If you have any hot spots, like fine lines around the eyes, you can apply slightly more there. Layer the Damadi moisturiser best suited to your skin type over the top to make the perfect night creme.
Tip– Rose hip oil can also be applied to new and old scars.
Odd Spot Info– There are two types of Rose hip oil, Rosa Rubignosa or The Briar Rose, and Rosa Canina which literally translates into Dog Rose. Damadi uses the Rosa Rubignosa which is grown in Chile and the one which many of the initial scientific studies on the properties of Rose hip oil are based on.
